A. Symbolic onset (big event that makes everyone mad)
B. Initial event with a general base of support
1. Must have access to weapons(don't have to use them but must threaten with them)
C. Begun by the Liberals
1. Must make some changes.
2. Must make attempts to forge a constitution
D. Rule of the Moderates
1. Begin rule under new constitution
2. Usually split rule
E. Challenge of the Conservatives
1. Try to take over and stop changes
F. Radicals take control
1. Reign of Terror
1. Small group of people usually aristocracy make small changes that
give the appearance that the conditions present are being resolved but
actually attempts are made to return to the prior situation
2. Corruption is present
3. Economic instability occurs
H. Conservative One Man Rule
1. Must have support of the military.
2. Makes changes to keep the current government in control
IV. Honeymoon
A. Monarchy or orginal government but in an altered form
1. Monarch or dictator or oligarchy amends some of the changes
of the revolution
2. Liberals then begin to question
V. Condictions corrected enough by reform then stability returns
or
V. Revolution begins again

1. At least two opposing sides
2. Access to weapons
3. Aims expressed in a slogan
4. Accomplished leaders
5. Ailments present socially, economically, and politically
