Grading Criteria

25% Research

will have items I and XIII and at information covering at least 10 other items. Research will be accurate and complete. Bibliography will be presented in the proper format and is 5% of the total. Items I & XIII count 2.5 points other 10 items will be worth 1.5 points each. Extra items may be counted and will be considered at the rate of 1 point or more depending on item.

25% Presentation during the battle.

Student will demonstrate, using notes from research, their knowledge and evaluation of their country by giving basic information about their country's role during World War I and support their country's role by defending strategic actions and giving possibilities that happened or could have happened during World War I.

25% Notes taken during battle conditions.

Reflects the material covered during the battle from each country. Items such as country leaders, troop strength, strategic concerns will be included.

25% Letter home written in the trenches.

Indicates some element of the country. Indicates some element of weaponry or strategy. Indicates some element of understanding of conditions in the trenches.
