NEW NATIONS OF AFRICA FACED WITH PROBLEMS
Economical Political Social & Cultural
Lack the proper balance between industry and agriculture

frequently relied on a single crop or mineral resource

borrowed heavily to finance their economic expansion

Lack experience and qualified leaders

lack a sense of national unity which leads to rivalries and internal conflicts

the superpowers often intervene which continue the rivalries

The years of colonial rule and education resulted in many Africans turning away from their history and cultural heritage

social/cultural problems also persist because of continuing racial discrimination in some parts of Africa
